Dan is a Managing Partner and Founder of 325 Capital. Prior to 325 Capital, he was the Founder and Managing Partner of Sagard Capital where he pioneered the investment strategy and specialized in governance, management team and board relationships.  Dan has spent the last 18 years investing in public companies, first at Sagard Capital and then through his private investment firm, Hampstead Park Capital Management. He has served on the board of six public companies and two private companies, including three as Chairman. He currently serves as Chairman of Quest Resource Holdings Corp.

As a partner at Bain & Company until 2004, he led the New York and Canadian private equity businesses. Dan joined Bain in the London office and was a founder of the Toronto and New York offices.

 

Dan received his MBA from the Cornell Johnson College of Business in 1987 and a Bachelor of Science honors degree from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in England in 1984.

Dan currently is on the Board of Directors of Buttonwood Network, Triphammer Investments, and USA Field Hockey. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children.
